The Triad of Evil refers to the three main villains of the Age of Darkness: Mondain, Minax, and Exodus. This is their character profiles put together into one file.

[edit] Mondain
Mondain was the second son of the wizard Wolfgang. He murdered his father and stole his gem of power, which he would later turn into the Gem of Immortality. Because of his rage and immaturity, Mondain caused horrible suffering and sorrow to the people of the land in his lust for power.
Mondain first tried to conquer the kingdom of Akalabeth with his hordes of monsters. He lost the war, mostly thanks to Lord British. Angered by this, he prepared for even more horrors to sweep over Sosaria. It was during that time he found Minax, his lover and apprentice. Together, they created Exodus.
However, even death wasn't his end. His Skull was saved by Minax from dark mages and enshrined to become an item of horrible dark powers. Afterwards his spirit was pulled from the void to be fused by the Gargoyles into the Shrine of Control. It was there where the Avatar found him in Ultima VI, and where Mondain finally confessed he now regretted everything he had done to Sosaria having had enough time to think.

[edit] Minax
Minax learned the dark arts from Mondain. As Mondain wrecked havoc on the land, Minax watched him and was amazed at his power. She fell in love with him and together they created Exodus.
When the Stranger killed Mondain, Minax was still quite young and inexperienced. There was a period of a several years, when Minax studied powerful magic, so she could one day destroy all of Sosaria and its inhabitants. Her magic became so powerful that she could wield even stronger magic then that of Mondain's Gem of Immortality. She also uncovered the secret of the Moongates in her lust for arcane knowledge.
She made her move in Ultima II. Having moved her fortress to the Time of Legends, she tampered with the timeline, to destroy the world of the Stranger, the murderer of her lover Mondain. She succeeded in totally altering the time line, and Earth was destroyed in 2111 A.D. in a nuclear holocaust. At the same time, her monster hordes attacked Sosaria. However, she had no idea that the Stranger had escaped the changes in the timeline. Traveling back to the Time of Legends, the Stranger killed Minax with the Quicksword Enilno, ending her tampering with time. After her death, all the damage done to the timeline vanished, as if it had never happened.
But even death wasn't her end. The Gargoyles pulled her soul out of the Void, and fused it into the Shrine of Passion. It was there, where the Avatar found her in Ultima VI. She told him that she now regretted her wrongdoings, having had enough time to think about what she had done.

[edit] Exodus
Exodus is part Daemon, part magical entity, and part machine. Exodus was created by Mondain and Minax. The Daemon is the psyche, all the living things in it, while the machine was the power and knowledge, like a hard drive. Exodus waited a long time after the death of his creators, gathering information. Most of it was trivial, like the color of the sky at one specific day, while other information was about how to manipulate the very being of the world itself.
In Ultima III, Exodus attacked, poisoning the spirit of the land itself, while his hordes roamed Sosaria. He himself was safe on the Isle of Fire, protected by the Great Earth Serpent, which he had ripped out of the void. The last thing in turn, caused the War of Imbalance on the Serpent Isle. His end came, when the Stranger together with his/her companions used the Four Cards to destroy the machine part of Exodus.
But even this wasn't the end of Exodus. His psyche was fused by the Gargoyles into the Shrine of Diligence, where the Avatar found him in Ultima VI. Exodus by now regretted what he had done, having had enough time to think about it.
His left over machine part, the Dark Core, reappeared in Ultima VII. It being a artifact of unsurpassed evil, the Avatar managed to throw it into the void, preventing it from reattaching the psyche to it.
